YAC will train Casey staff to use the GBS model in their daily interactions with teens.

 

GBS SEMINAR BEGINS AT NY FOUNDLING February 2007
The first semester of Getting Beyond the System will begin for teens at NY Foundling Hospital.  
GBS TRAINING AT INWOOD HOUSE February 5 & 6, 2007
YAC will train staff at Inwood House to implement and facilitate the GBS Seminar for pregnant and parenting teens in their foster care program.

YAC will train staff at New York Foundling Hospital to implement and facilitate the GBS Seminar for teens in their foster care program.  
New York Junior League Forum November 2, 2006 7-9 p.m.

Betsy will speak about the importance of community involvement to better prepare teens for adulthood. Her recommendations will shape the Junior League's advocacy agenda.

 

11th ANNUAL URBAN HEROES AWARDS BENEFIT October 24, 2006
6 p.m.
On this night, The Catalog for Giving will honor GBS graduate Kendall Franklinfor overcoming difficult life challenges to become a role model. Join us as celebrities present the Urban Heroes with their awards. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Youth Advocacy Center. Thirty young adults completed Safe Space’s first full-scale pilot of the GBS Seminar. Their families and friends joined YAC and Safe Space staff in honoring their achievements.
